About Attars-The Eastern Perfume which is Halal.

Attar are alchol free perfumes  which are naturally made.(or used to be). They were worn in the Orient by people of importance and nobility. A personality of man can be estimated from the attar he wears. The original word is derived from itr' which is Arabic.

The origin of attar goes to more than 6000 years.  The main materials for making are :

• flowers
• plants 

Kannuaj is a place in India which is famous for attars.

The earliest mention of Attars are by the Andalusian Physician Ibn al-Baitar . In Yemen Queen Arwa al-Sulayhi (1048-1138 CE) introduced her brand. It was made from flowers in the mountains.
